(UPI) -- A man hunting moose in Newfoundland is facing numerous charges after mistakenly shooting a woman sitting by a campfire, police said.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police didn't identify the hunter or the victim, but said criminal and misdemeanor weapons charges had been filed against the shooter.

The bullet hit the 68-year-old woman's right shoulder and exited through her back, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Tuesday.

She has had two surgeries and may lose the use of her right arm, doctors said.

The woman was with her husband and two other family members preparing a campfire on an outing in central Newfoundland near Lewisporte when she was shot, police said.

A professional guide and outfitter, Wayne Holloway, told the CBC such incidents could be prevented if everyone venturing into the wilderness wore bright orange vests.

A Bollywood Portrait Photo

In a joint effort with the Hindu Society of America, YRaj Productions conducted a Bollywood Portrait Session on site at the Lakshmi Narayan Temple during the 2011 Diwali Show.  Everyone looked regal in their traditional Indian attire a la Bollywood style.  It was a unique opportunity for anyone to take a high quality portrait, but this time, dressed up in their colorful Indian outfits as compared to going to a regular studio in formal clothes, as is common.  Here is Asha Dass, who really poured her passion into her session...and it shows!

What an awesome time!...this time we did video and photography.  My darling daughters helped me with this one.  Can't wait to edit the footage.  The star of the show, Andrea was so pretty, making my job easier.  Her mom could not be any nicer....the whole family was warm and friendly.

We had fun shooting photos on the dance floor...those shots should look pretty cool.
I am trying to connect this blog to Facebook and then the blog will be off and running.

Bollywood Portraits

After the weekend...

Well...did not get to go to Groovetoberfest...all those beers..missed opportunity.  Instead I worked on photographs, drank Guinness and finished a job..put an expedite request on it so that the client stays happy.

Update!!! we landed another job!  We have a Quinceñera to do in December.  No vacation for me.  Well I can take mine when everyone has already taken theirs and the rates are great.

Preparing for this show is taking up my every waking moment.  It is so important to deliver a product that is better than expected, to present and maintain a standard that is yours, that is a cut above the rest.

Today is October 12th, 2011 and is the day I start my photography blog.

I created this blog to charter an exciting course in my life and hopefully yours too as you join me on this journey of passionate photography.  I am detouring from a career of Finance to plunge into the world of Pro Photography.  After shocking my mother with my announcement, who promptly reminded me of the time and expense, I had devoted to education, I have poured all my energy into this venture.
